48 hours to go….

I’m chomping at the bit waiting for the opportunity to select my seat from what’s left on the flight. Amazing how many people must pay the extra to secure a preferred spot. I tossed up if this was viable but decided that really it’s going to be just as bad in any seat for the long haul flight I’m facing so why waste the money. Fingers crossed I am lucky enough for a window.

Currently waiting for the NBN installation team to arrive. Of course I’ve been given the mandatory 4 hour window but I don’t suppose they’ll be here until midday. We’ll see.

So -10:30 the NBN man arrives and after a bit of a search we find an original Telstra connection (all others are Optus). He connects but guess what——- it’s on but not on. Now I have to organise another appointment for Optus to come and move it from that bedroom. 😬🤬. Even MORE frustrating as I now find out that they do NOT offer that service. Now I have to pay for an electrician to come and move it. Crazy, they give you no choice but to have NBN but all at your own cost. Bravo.

Down to the bank this afternoon to pick up my travel cards and confirm that amazingly I have free travel insurance because I paid with my credit card. Excellent, I can get back some money from the insurance already paid.

Win some money in one hand and have it taken away in the other!!

Finally the check in is open and there was no need to worry. I have a window seat. Relief.
