Started the morning with a dip in the lovely cool pool at 7:30, showered and commenced with another of the drawing of the little squares I need for today’s exercise. Had breakfast at 8:30 and back into lessons.
Dora said she would set up a still life for me to sketch, well I did this ok but then she said I had to now paint one. 😮 oh well…. that’s what I’m here for!
Today I finished the colour samples then moved onto the perspective (1,2and 3 point) then onto the colour wheel with six primary colours, it seemed only a short time later that we had a bite for lunch.
😲 the result was less than perfect so Dora did a demo for me which I videoed.
To give me a break from the tutoring we drove to Rabat which is the main city on Gozo, parked and walked up to the citadel where we saw the extraordinary views.
She then showed me through the winding alleys of the old town. It was very interesting. Time to return via the grocery shop then home.
We both had a plunge in the pool to cool down whilst dinner was heating up. Tonight we were dining in the garden with the lights of the pool giving a delicate ambience to the evening.
Before I head off to bed I just have to remind myself of the funniest time today when we were talking about the Catalan language. Only Dora and I will know what this is about but it also involves flamenco dancing. 😂 😂 😂 Should anyone wish to know our secret we will let you know (off-line) 🤣
