Day five with Dora….

After breakfast we loaded up and headed for xwejni bay which was the place of my light bulb moment

I mean LITERALLY!

Moving on….. we continued to Qolla Lil-Badja. This place was famous in its day not only for the salt pans but for its ‘70’s night club. Apparently it was THE place to go. Sadly it’s no longer used but we set up shop and start to work on our new paintings of the beautiful scenery.

We had lunch there and continued on until a wind got up and was turning our umbrellas inside out. We were crushed-tackling an outy umbrella on the edge of a precipice is soul destroying. Too much to handle plus it was particularly hot (28-30) so we made it home and jumped in the pool. Meltdown imminent!’

Core successful cooled down and a cuppa later we headed out to the inland sea called dwejra.

pointless but never without camera gear we headed out for a thrill. This was a truely magical place

There’s a little cleft in the rocks and some skilled boat people navigate through there.

This is the window to the ocean from this little inland sea. On the way there we’d stopped to walk down a little street. So glad we did because we lifted a posty slot and saw this!

Having taken all the shots we needed, we headed home for a leisurely meal and for me -bed.
