Last day in Italy….

Woke up this morning to feel very blessed that I’ve been able to do this holiday, meet new friends and I want to come back again and again!

I wasn’t able to get to the Trevi fountain this time for the coin toss but I certainly aim to make it back to this part of the world again.

My host picked my luggage (Lugged it back down the stairs) and me up and we set off for the local coffee shop where he gave me my voucher for a free croissant and drink. Not gluten free but the Nutella croissant was delicious.

He’s an architect so I showed him my drawings I did many years ago. He like them which was very nice. We had a quick chat then he dropped me off at terminal three. Wow. The thousands of people who are here to fly is simply mind blowing. I found my check in desk 313. Had a lovely girl who said I’d have been fine with my baggage even though I’ve paid an extra 34 euro this morning when I was worried about the weight. Never mind. You can never be sure.

I found a seat whilst I wait for my gate to be announced but that means waiting here another 40 minutes. Boredom is setting in. Must be careful I don’t buy something I don’t remember this time. But I’m not on millions of pain killers so there would be no excuse for a repeat of my Murano adventure from two years ago. At least I’m still looking at them and talking about them – hopefully one day i will get the value out of them!!

I was walking through the duty free perfume area where two young girls were dressed in leotards and dancing. Not sure if my movie will work but they were very cute.

Nice work girls

I was sooo good. I didn’t buy ANYTHING. Simply amazing.

I’m just wondering if, in all these thousands of people here at the Rome airport, do I know anyone??

Finally 11:15 comes and gate E3 is broadcast. So I sit amongst a lot of mancunians waiting to board. 😃. It’s officially time for us to board now so I’ll say arrivederci Roma.

Next port of call…. Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿……
