Two years ago with massive pains in my neck (didn’t know I’d broken a disc at that stage) I managed to play nine holes at the Warkworth golf club. It’s a links course and is wicked! So much shrubbery in which the ball can be lost, plus sand dunes every side of you. And I say sand dunes because you play adjacent to the beach with spectacular views along the coastline.
Anyone who knows me knows I am a golf lunatic and have not only my spreadsheet of golf scores since I commenced playing nearly five years ago, but I seem to have made up a new glossary of golfing terminology. Ok ok, I’m a little odd, but isn’t everyone?
So we will be heading out shortly and I will no doubt give you a blow by blow encounter of my game at Warkworth! Last time I played with men’s clubs off the men’s tees and came in equal to my playing buddy. Hope to do better this time. 😊
