The day I missed out in Northern Ireland…

The Wednesday was a relaxing day. I pottered around did some washing, hung out clothes and checked out the massive Koi that my cousin has in a converted greenhouse. Sadly most of them are gone and you can’t really see how big they get from this pic. There was one the last time I came that actually ate from their hands and was ENORMOUS.

After lunch I decided to walk around to visit the couple who were my neighbours when I used to live in Northern Ireland eons ago. The monument below is Chain Memorial https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chaine_Memorial

People are very friendly here and everyone says hello as you pass by. A couple of young workmen said hello then one said you should smile more it really suits you. Mmm. That made my steps a little more spritely!

I reached their home but nobody was home so I scoured my bag for a piece of paper. Wrote a note “hi Eleanor and William. Would love to catch up I’m here until Monday. Love heather”.

I headed back home. I had walked back past the workmen when I suddenly realised something. I hadn’t left any contact number (DUH). So back I go, luckily I’d secured the notepaper in the letter slot so I was able to retrieve it and add that vaguely significant detail. Back home again. I seriously think I’m doing my ten thousand steps through sheer lack of memory!!!l

I thought I’d stop and see if anyone was home at my old home. The guy came to the door but when he asked ‘what did I want’ it seemed a bit lame when I explained I’d owned the home. It was a little awkward and I departed thinking ok that was a bit weird perhaps not such a good idea.

Once we’d had dinner I visited one of my cousins families for a while then came home to go to bed.

It’s golf day tomorrow…..
