Almost over was my first thought this morning as I rolled out of bed. At least this leg of the journey was. It seems Ike ages ago that I arrived on Dora’s doorstep for my very first week of watercolour tuition and yet it’s only four weeks.
The plan today was to go and organise the plaque for my mother and fathers grave stone. Due to various reasons and the fact that this is so far from Australia, this hadn’t yet been done. So I was dropped off down the street to organise it.
I’d noticed today as I stepped in the car that I could see the Scottish shores because it was nice and clear. Its actually quite close from Northern Ireland to Scotland.

Had a scrumptious turkey soup for lunch. Honestly I only wish you could taste my cousins wife’s soup. It should be bottled!

Later on in the afternoon I helped to lay out the dress pattern so it could be cut. It’s a bit more of a lengthy process as it all has to be pattern matched and it was doing my head in having to actually ‘think’!
I had been invited out to dinner with my ex neighbours and I was picked up promptly at seven and we drove around to the Brooklyn Bay Diner. Once again I was not good with the gluten free meal and opted to have a beef and bird stack. You NORMAL people just don’t know how good you’ve got it!

After a very pleasant evening I was dropped back to my cousins friends to enjoy a nightcap with the four of them. A very nice Saturday out. And it was the first time I’d really had a good enough reason to get dressed up for the occasion.
Last full day tomorrow and it’s midnight now so I’m off to noddyland…..
