Day 22 – 28th August – DUBLIN – to be sure, to be sure!
Not particularly early departure but we both left at slightly different times. A longish trip – again, but finally arrived in Dublin around one. Found our lovely two bedroom apartment and called the Skelly’s, arranging to meet at O’Connell Bridge. We walked about twenty minutes passing the Halfpenny Bridge on the way.

Had a bite to eat at McDonalds whilst some of the group had coffees at Nero’s. We discussed what we were going to do and the guys were going to do a tour of The Guinness Storehouse – I believe they had a pretty good time! Meanwhile, Dianne had decided to accompany me through the Waxworks Museum and Helen and Vicki spent the time at a PUB!! The Waxworks was really good. I managed to hold a penis, choke Donald Trump and be blessed by the Pope! It was excellent!

We found a Chinese restaurant next to the waxworks (highly recommended by the waitress at the pub on the other side. So quite an expensive experience for about 6 bites of food (40 euro) However others had a few bites of it (especially Dianne who unexpectedly had eaten ALL her dinner and quite a few tastes of mine. Usually she eats like a bird. – maybe the experience of the haunted house had awoken her appetite?)

We left to walk along to the Temple Bar for the experience. Took some photos and then went to Quays Galway for our last drinks (woah- one glass of Kaluah and coke 14 euro! A full meal AND Kaluha was 11:81 pound in Scotland!) before we all parted company again and will be meeting up in Gatwick Airport. 8,714 steps.
